West Coast Beach Volleyball Society is offering your female or male youth athlete the opportunity to learn from and train with Olympians as a part of our "Coach - Train - Cheer" event series June 18-22. Rio Beach Volleyball Olympians Ben Saxton and Sam Schachter, and Sam's partner Sam Pedlow will be leading this 90-minute session, along with top local youth beach coaches. No playing experience needed.
Sam Schachter runs On2Volleyball in Toronto, which is a successful youth and adult beach volleyball training company. Sam Pedlow coaches for the other Sam. Ben is a big kid, like 6 foot 7 inches and the kids love him.
EXTRA EXTRA read all about it! On Tuesday, June 20th 6:00 pm at Kits Beach, 2016 Rio Olympians Ben Saxton and Chaim Schalk will be taking on Rio Olympian Sam Schachter and his partner Sam Pedlow in the first of its kind "East versus West" Canadian battle to see who gets to take home the trophy of "West is best" or "East is best". This is a free event open to the public. These 4 athletes are rarely training or coaching together, no less playing against each other on their home turf in Canada! An odd break in their World Tour schedule came open this summer so we took advantage of the opportunity to bring them all together in Vancovuer!
